The Board of the 21rst Catalan Congress of the 21st International Conference of the Catalan Association of Artificial Intelligence (CCIA 2018) is working to achieve high quality publications opportunities linked to the conference.

Up to now, The CCIA2018 Board has the pleasure to announce the following special issues

      • Post-Conference  Special Issue on “Logic-based applications in AI” in the "Logic Journal of the IGPL“, Oxford University Press https://academic.oup.com/jigpal (indexed in JCR: Q3 - Logic, Q3 - Mathematics, Q4 - Mathematics Applied). Logic Journal of the IGPL publishes papers in all areas of pure and applied logic, including pure logical systems, proof theory, model theory, recursion theory, type theory, nonclassical logics, nonmonotonic logic, numerical and uncertainty reasoning, logic and AI, foundations of logic programming, logic and computation, logic and language, and logic engineering.

      • Post-Conference Thematic PRLetters Virtual Special Issue on “Pattern Recognition and Cognitive Assistants  (PRCA)”, Elsevier https://www.journals.elsevier.com/pattern-recognition-letters (indexed in JCR: Q2 – Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence). Pattern Recognition Letters includes all the current fields of interest represented by the Technical Committees of the International Association of Pattern Recognition, and other developing themes involving learning and recognition.

        • You are invited to extend your research and submit it to the virtual special issue on Pattern Recognition and Cognitive Assistants.
          Please, note that this call-for-papers is open and that the papers for this issue need to match the scope and the topics proposed. Try to link your research to them. If you plan to submit to this VSI, an expression of interest is very welcome.
          Please indicate a tentative title, abstract and list of authors and send it to zfalomir@uni-bremen.de.

      • Post Conference Special Issue "Artificial Intelligence in Data Science for Energy in Sustainability” in the "Energies" Journal, MDPI http://www.mdpi.com/journal/energies  (indexed in JCR: Q2 – Energy & Fuels, SCIE). Energies is an international, open access journal in energy engineering and research. The journal covers research in energy engineering and sciences, with a strong focus on energy storage and conservation, biomass and bioenergy, renewable energy, electricity supply and demand, energy in buildings, and on economic and policy issues.
